ന്യൂഡല്‍ഹി: വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച ആരംഭിക്കാനിരിക്കുന്ന യൂറോപ്പ് സന്ദർശനത്തിനിടയില്‍ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി ഫ്രാൻസിസ് മാർപാപ്പയുമായി കൂടിക്കാഴ്ച നടത്തുമെന്ന് കേരള കാത്തലിക് ബിഷപ്പ് കൗൺസിൽ (കെസിബിസി) അറിയിച്ചു.
"ഫ്രാൻസിസ് മാർപാപ്പയും പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദിയും തമ്മിലുള്ള കൂടിക്കാഴ്ച ഒക്ടോബർ 30 ശനിയാഴ്ചയായിരിക്കും" ഔദ്യോഗിക വൃത്തങ്ങളെ ഉദ്ധരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുള്ള കെസിബിസി പ്രസിഡന്റ് കർദിനാൾ ജോർജ് ആലഞ്ചേരിയുടെ പ്രസ്താവനയില്‍ പറയുന്നു.

കൂടിക്കാഴ്ച സംബന്ധിച്ച് വത്തിക്കാന്‍ സ്ഥിരീകരണം നടത്തിയതായാണ് വിവരം. ഇന്ത്യന്‍ സമയം ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് 12 മണിക്കായിരിക്കും കൂടിക്കാഴ്ച. അരമണിക്കൂറോളം ഇരുവരും തമ്മില്‍ സ്വകാര്യ സംഭാഷണത്തില്‍ ഏര്‍പ്പെടുമെന്നാണ് ലഭിക്കുന്ന സൂചനകള്‍.
ചരിത്രപരമായ ഈ കൂടിക്കാഴ്ച ഇന്ത്യയും വത്തിക്കാനും കാത്തലിക് ചര്‍ച്ചും തമ്മിലുള്ള ബന്ധത്തിന് കൂടുതല്‍ ഊര്‍ജം പകരുമെന്ന് കര്‍ദിനാള്‍ ആലഞ്ചേരി കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്‍ത്തു.

ജി-20, സിഒപി-26 എന്നീ ഉച്ചകോടികളില്‍ പങ്കെടുക്കുന്നതിനായി പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി റോമിലേക്കും ഗ്ലാസ്‌ഗോയിലേക്കും പോകുമെന്ന് വിദേശകാര്യ മന്ത്രാലയം അറിയിച്ചു. ഒക്ടോബർ 29 മുതൽ നവംബർ രണ്ട് വരെയാണ് സന്ദര്‍ശനം.
