സൈന നെഹ്‍വാള്‍ ഗോപീചന്ദ് അക്കാദമിയിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങിയെത്തുന്നു

ഹൈദരാബാദ്: സൈന നെഹ്‌വാൾ മൂന്ന് വർഷത്തിന് ശേഷം ഗോപീചന്ദ് അക്കാദമിയിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങിയെത്തുന്നു. ഗ്ലാസ്കോ ലോക ചാമ്പ്യൻഷിപ്പിന് പിന്നാലെയാണ് തന്റെ പഴയ കളിത്തട്ടിലേക്ക് സൈന മടങ്ങിയെത്തുന്നത്. ലോക ചാമ്പ്യൻഷിപ്പിനിടെ സൈന ഗോപീചന്ദുമായി സംസാരിച്ചിരുന്നു. അതിന് പിന്നാലെയാണ് സൈനയുടെ തീരുമാനം.

2014 സെപ്റ്റംബർ രണ്ടു മുതൽ പരിശീലകൻ വിമൽകുമാറിനൊപ്പമാണ് സൈന പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നത്. ബംഗളൂരുവിലായിരുന്നു ഇവരുടെ ക്യാന്പ്. ഗോപീചന്ദിന് കീഴിൽ നിരവധി നേട്ടങ്ങൾ കൊയ്ത സൈനയ്ക്ക് പക്ഷേ അക്കാഡമി വിട്ടതോടെ മികവ് തുടരാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞിരുന്നില്ല. ഒളിന്പിക്സിലും മെഡലില്ലാതെ മടങ്ങിയ സൈനയെ പരിക്കും അലട്ടിയിരുന്നു. പരിക്കിൽ നിന്നും തിരിച്ചെത്തി ഗ്ലാസ്ഗോ ലോക ചാന്പ്യൻഷിപ്പിൽ സൈന വെങ്കലം നേടുകയും ചെയ്തു.

ഗോപിചന്ദ് അക്കാദമിയില്‍ നിന്ന് സൈന വിട്ടപ്പോള്‍ പിവി സിന്ധുവായി അക്കാദമിയുടെ ശ്രദ്ധാ കേന്ദ്രം. ഒളിംപിക്‌സില്‍ വെള്ളി മെഡലുള്‍പ്പെടെ വന്‍ നേട്ടങ്ങള്‍ സിന്ധു സ്വന്തമാക്കി. സൈന മടങ്ങിയെത്തുന്നതോടെ അക്കാദമിയില്‍ തന്നെ മികച്ച പോരാട്ടങ്ങള്‍ കാണാം.
