ബീഫ് വിഭവമെന്നു കേട്ടാല്‍ പോലും നാവില്‍ വെള്ളമൂറാത്ത മലയാളികള്‍ കുറവാണ്. എന്നാല്‍ മലയാളിയുടെ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട ബീഫ് ഉലര്‍ത്തിയത് ട്വിറ്ററില്‍ പോരിനു കാരണമായിരിക്കുകയാണിപ്പോള്‍. കേരള ടൂറിസത്തിന്റെ ഔദ്യോഗിക ഹാന്‍ഡിലിലെ ട്വീറ്റാണു വാക്‌പോരിനു കാരണമായിരിക്കുന്നത്.

ട്വീറ്റിനെ അനുകൂലിച്ചും എതിര്‍ത്തും നിരവധി പേരാണു രംഗത്തെത്തിയത്. ബീഫിന്റെ ചിത്രം ഉള്‍പ്പെടെത്തിയുള്ള ട്വീറ്റ് മതവികാരം വ്രണപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതെന്നായിരുന്നു ചിലരുടെ വിമര്‍ശനം.
