ആന്‍ഡമാന്‍ ആന്റ് നിക്കോബാറിലെ മൂന്ന് ദ്വീപുകള്‍ക്ക് ഇനി പുതിയ പേര്

പോര്‍ട്ട് ബ്ലെയര്‍: ആന്‍ഡമാന്‍ ആന്റ് നിക്കോബാറിലെ മൂന്ന് ദ്വീപുകളെ പുനര്‍നാമകരണം ചെയ്ത് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്രമോദി. റോസ് ഐലന്റ്, നീല്‍ ഐലന്റ്, ഹാവ്‌ലോക്ക് ഐലന്റ് എന്നീ ദ്വീപുകളുടെ പേരുകളാണ് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി മാറ്റിയത്. നേതാജി സുഭാഷ് ചന്ദ്രബോസ് ഐലന്റ്, ഷഹീദ് ദ്വീപ്, സ്വരാജ് ദീപ് എന്നിങ്ങനെയാണ് യഥാക്രമം ദ്വീപുകളുടെ പുതിയ പേരുകള്‍.

പോര്‍ട്ട് ബ്ലെയറില്‍ നടന്ന ചടങ്ങില്‍ 150 അടി ഉയരത്തിലായി ദേശീയ പതാകയും പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ഉയര്‍ത്തി. സുഭാഷ് ചന്ദ്രബോസ് ആസാന്ദ് ഹിന്ദ് ഗവണ്‍മെന്റിന്റെ പ്രഖ്യാപനം നടത്തിയതിന്റെ 75ാം വാര്‍ഷികാഘോഷത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമായിരുന്നു ചടങ്ങ്. 1943 ലായിരുന്നു സുഭാഷ് ചന്ദ്രബോസ് ആസാദ് ഹിന്ദ് ഗവണ്‍മെന്റ് രൂപീകരിച്ചതായി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചത്.

നേരത്തെ കാര്‍ നിക്കോബാറിലെ ജനങ്ങളേയും പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി അഭിസംബോധന ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. 2004ലുണ്ടായ സുനാമിയെ അതിജീവിച്ച പ്രദേശവാസികളെ മോദി അഭിനന്ദിച്ചു. ഒപ്പം മികച്ച ജീവിത സൗകര്യങ്ങളും അദ്ദേഹം വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്തു.
