ബാലതാരമായി സിനിമയിലെത്തി നായികയായി വളർന്ന അഭിനേത്രിയാണ് സാനിയ. മമ്മൂട്ടിയുടെ ‘ബാല്യകാലസഖി’യില്‍ ബാലതാരമായി സാനിയ അഭിനയിച്ചിരുന്നു.’ക്വീന്‍’ ആയിരുന്നു സാനിയ നായികയായി അഭിനയിച്ച ആദ്യ ചിത്രം.

‘ലൂസിഫറി’ൽ മഞ്ജു വാര്യരുടെ മകളുടെ വേഷത്തിലും സാനിയ എത്തിയിരുന്നു. മമ്മൂട്ടി ചിത്രം ‘പതിനെട്ടാം പടി’യിലെ ഗാനരംഗത്തിലും ഗ്ലാമറസ്സായി സാനിയ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു. അഭിനയത്തിനു പുറമെ നൃത്തത്തിലും സജീവമാണ് സാനിയ. ഡാന്‍സ് റിയാലിറ്റി ഷോയിലൂടെയായിരുന്നു സാനിയ ആദ്യം ശ്രദ്ധ നേടിയത്.
