ഇന്ത്യന്‍ സിനിമിയുടെ ബിഗ് ബി അമിതാഭ് ബച്ചന് ദാദാ സാഹിബ് ഫാല്‍ക്കെ പുരസ്കാരം നല്‍കും. ഏകകണ്ഠമായാണ് ബച്ചനെ പുരസ്‌കാരത്തിന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തത്. രണ്ട് തലമുറയെ സിനിമയിലൂടെ വിസ്മയിപ്പിച്ച ബച്ചന് പുരസ്കാരം നല്‍കാന്‍ തീരുമാനിച്ചതായി കേന്ദ്ര മന്ത്രി പ്രകാശ് ജാവേദ്ക്കര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.

ഇന്ത്യന്‍ സിനിമയ്ക്ക് നല്‍കിയ സംഭാവനകള്‍ പരിഗണിച്ചാണ് പുരസ്കാരം നല്‍കുന്നത്.76-കാരനായ അമിതാഭ് ബച്ചനെ നേരത്തെ പത്മശ്രീ, പത്മഭൂഷണ്‍, പത്മവിഭൂഷണ്‍ പുരസ്കാരങ്ങള്‍ നല്‍കി ആദരിച്ചിരുന്നു. വിഖ്യാത ഹിന്ദി കവി ഹരിവന്‍ഷ് റായ് ബച്ചന്‍റേയും തേജീ ബച്ചന്‍റേയും മകനായി 1942 ഒക്ടോബര്‍ 11-നാണ് അമിതാഭ് ബച്ചന് ജനിച്ചത്.
1969 മുതല്‍ സിനിമാരംഗത്ത് ബച്ചനുണ്ട്. 70-80 കാലഘട്ടത്തില്‍ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ സിനിമയിലെ ആന്‍ഗ്രി യങ്മാനായി മാറിയ ബച്ചന് സമാനതകളില്ലാത താരമായി മാറി. അന്നു തൊട്ടിന്നോളം അദ്ദേഹം അഭിനയരംഗത്ത് സജീവമാണ്. ഇന്നും പ്രായം തളർത്താത്ത അഭിനയപ്രതിഭ സിനിമാ പ്രേമികളെ അത്ഭുതപ്പെടുത്തുകയാണ്.
ബച്ചന് അഭിനന്ദനവുമായി സിനിമാ ലോകത്തു നിന്നും നിരവധി പേരാണ് എത്തിയത്. ബച്ചന് ഈ പുരസ്കാരം അര്‍ഹിച്ചിരുന്നുവെന്നാണ് തമിഴ് താരം രജനീകാന്ത് ട്വീറ്റ് ചെയ്ത്. അതിയായ സന്തോഷം തോന്നുന്നുവെന്നും അഭിമാന നിമിഷമാണെന്നും അമിതാഭ് ബച്ചന്റ മകനും നടനുമായി അഭിഷേക് ബച്ചന് ട്വീറ്റ് ചെയ്തു.
